The point of this writing is to bring awareness to consumers who are all too often disrespected and forced into paying for mistakes made by retail companies. Shame on Van's for not dealing with its customers in an equitable manner.
On the morning of August 26th, I received a phone call from Van's stating that the sectional had arrived in the wrong color. At this point I had already waited five weeks and had given away my furniture in anticipation of receiving my order . Van's had an entire week to look at the furniture and inspect it to ensure it wasn't damaged etc. and was indeed what I had ordered, but they failed to do so and cost me another weeks worth of waiting.
Thank you to the recent reviews, I am going elsewhere. Too many bad reviews in a short amount of time. Thank you for the heads up
You're better off finding a differnt place. Spent 3 grand on couch and stands the couch has been broken down since we've gotten it i paid for lifetime repairs they've repaired it once didnt do much good switched cushions twice. i just called the service lady is beyond rude ill look elsewhere for future purchases
I ordered a sectional sofa on July 17, 2017. The sales manager Rachel, told me that the sofa was in stock at the place of manufacture and would be delivered in two to three weeks. She also said that she would contact me if it could not be delivered in time. After patiently waiting four weeks without a courtesy call or any explanation for the additional one week delay on my order, they finally contacted me to inform me that the furniture had arrived and wanted to set up a time for delivery. I set up the delivery to take place on August 26th.
They were nice but slow to get our purchases in it took much longer than what they told us

To remedy this, Van's (Sales Manager Rachel) offered to give me loaner furniture until the correct furniture could be delivered. She said the new pieces would take two weeks. After reading other reviews posted on Google by other customers with similar problems, I decided that I didn't want to wait any longer and couldn't trust their delivery estimates and informed Rachel that I wanted to cancel my order. She informed me that I would have to pay a 25% re-stocking fee. The print in the paperwork does mention a re-stocking fee, but only in the case that a " Special Order" item does not fit through your entry way.
After dealing with the very rude and non-accommodating sales manager, I finally had to visit in person to inform them that I was indeed canceling my order and have no intention on paying a re-stocking fee or possibly waiting another four weeks for delivery on the correct product.
Do yourself a favor and avoid the frustration and waste of precious time. Buy your furniture someplace other than Van's furniture in Auburn, IN.
