The server we had was nice enough, but the attentiveness was just not there. It took 15 minutes to be approached by the server, who also happened to be the one who seated us. Then it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. 20 minutes to get my daughter's order, because I wasn't ready to order yet. Then, when I did order, it took another 20 minutes to get my food. The bread was soggy, the meat was overcooked and dry, the French fries were cold and stale and over salted. I asked for a cherry Dr. Pepper, but got a regular one. The only good thing about this visit was my daughter loved the mac and cheese. I still tipped the server, because she was nice enough, as I said, but I would have tipped more if she had been more attentive.
I wouldn't recommend this Steak N Shake because of the customer service. We got there and waited for a long time before we even got acknowledged when they were clearly not that busy with a bunch of empty tables. Then we ordered, and our order was wrong when our food was brought out on two accounts but only one was obvious at the moment. That got corrected, which was fine. Then I noticed that I didn't get a double burger that I had ordered, so I brought it to the waitress's attention, she told me that the meat patties are so small and thin that I could've missed the second one but she took our receipt anyway to adjust it. Finally our waitress comes back 20 minutes later just to tell me that her "manager" didn't believe me and that she kept our receipt. We went up to pay for our food and this aggressive witch was at the register and hollared at our waitress to get her a receipt, in which yet another employee had it. Until something is done with training these people about customer service, I wouldn't advise anyone to bother going into this particular establishment. #PoorCustomerService
Terrible service.. my sister and I both got chicken strips. I had ate 2 and my sister bit into her last one and 1/2 was raw. The sever Jillian said oh this happens sometimes do you want another strip? I said no, I would like my meal for free because I shouldn't have to deal with raw chicken. She then proceeded to say that we ate our meals and it was only 1/2 raw so she couldn't give us a meal. I don't care if it was the last bite of food. This is not okay. This is the second time we've had raw chicken when we have gone together. Not happy with the service. Raw chicken does not just happen sometimes. Don't over fill the fry basket or pull the basket up to soon.
The food was good, but services lack attention. The bathrooms were dirty in both women's and men's. Need more attention to up keep of place.
Food is typical Steak and Shake which is not necessarily great but definitely good. The staff did a great job. The restaurant was not very clean nor were the bathrooms
